Providing A Dinner for the Wynwood House

Mammoth Restoration & Primanti Brothers joined forces to spend time with and provide a catered meal for the staff & residents of the Wynwood House Assisted Living Facility at 2350 Bernel Rd. in State College, PA.  A smorgasbord of Pizza, Boneless Chicken Wings, Salad, French Fries, Breaded Mozzarella Wedges, Fruit, Drinks, Dessert, and more was provided as an opportunity to give back to say Thank You to some of the most under-appreciated workforces in our community.

The pandemic has changed the way of life for each and every one of us but none have been hit as hard as the assisted living facilities.  According to KFF.org Analysis – Staff and residents at long-term care facilities accounted for 31% of all COVID-19 deaths during the first year of the pandemic. While recent media coverage raised concerns with the Delta Variant and how it would affect children and unvaccinated adults – the variant continued to disproportionately impact older adults.  While COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations around the country are steadily decreasing – this window allows us to take the first steps in returning to normalcy, it’s also an opportunity for us to spend some time and offer thanks.  “At Mammoth Restoration, we’ve lost a member of our team and have had family members pass away from COVID-19 like many of you.  However, the Senior Care Centers staff and residents have gone through these tragedies over and over again.  It’s important for us to give back to the residents and heroes working the front lines at the Wynwood House. We hope a warm meal and time spent together will provide a break from what has been a difficult chapter in our country and county.” said Michael Bennett – Senior Leadership Member of Mammoth Restoration. “Primanti Bros. is committed to supporting the communities and neighborhoods where we operate,” said Adam Golomb, President, Primanti Bros. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to help bring some joy – and some food – to the staff and residents of the Wynwood House facility.”

We’d like to give a special thank you to the team at Primanti Bros for partnering with Mammoth Restoration on this event. If you haven’t had their sandwiches, wings, mozzarella wedges, and more – they are absolutely amazing.  Seriously, you should make it your next night out!  We appreciate your support of not only this event but always jumping in to support your own communities.
