Team Member of the Month – Jason Garcia

When it came to choosing a Team Member of the Month for the month of May, we had multiple nominations from various branches throughout the company.  After much debate, we chose to recognize two team members for their outstanding efforts this month.  The first being Manny Munoz  from our Doylestown office and the second being Jason Garcia from Centralized Support.

Jason stepped up when needed and responded urgently to help guide some larger commercial jobs throughout the month of May.  Jason’s dedication to Mammoth, our customers, and our community has shined through as he worked countless late nights, early mornings and throughout Memorial Day Weekend without a single complaint. Having an A-Player like Jason dedicated to large loss and complex jobs allows us the peace of mind that all stakeholders will be communicated with effectively and professionally.  Join us in congratulating Jason in his Team Member of the Month selection.  We’re incredibly proud to have him on the team!

We thought this would be a good opportunity for us to learn a little more about Jason.  Check out a breif interview with him below:

Congrats on winning Team Member of the Month for May 2019.  How do you feel?
It’s nice to be appreciated by the team.

How Long have you worked with Mammoth Restoration?
At the end of next month, I’ll have been on staff 7 years

What was your first job at Mammoth and how have you progressed your career?
I was a subcontractor for almost 2 years & then came on staff as in house construction on the repair side.  I worked my way into a project manager position, and back then we wrote our own estimates & ran our own jobs.   As Mammoth transitioned their process to an estimator role I became the estimator in the field for State College.  I have since been writing estimates for the entire company for the last several years.  During these last couple of years, I have been coached & trained by several owners to grow into a large loss role where they have trusted me with some of the largest jobs in the company.  My career at Mammoth has become exactly that; a career, where I have grown both professionally & financially.

What’s something you’re looking to accomplish or do in the next year? (Personally and Professionally)
This year I am looking forward to the first vacation away with just my wife in a really long time.

Professionally I am looking forward to helping grow the large loss department into a full-time position.

What’s your favorite song?
I don’t have one.  I listen to all types of music from the last 70 years.

Favorite Quote?
It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get back up. – Vince Lombardi

It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog/ – Mark Twain

What do you like most about your job at Mammoth?

It’s a little different every day & I’m always thinking on my feet.  I get bored with repetitiveness.  I’m not part of management or leadership, but I am still expected to solve problems & given the power to make decisions.
You’ve been given an elephant, you can’t give it away or sell it – What would you do with the elephant?
Put it to work.  He can suck out water on jobs.  Teach it to do tricks & charge admission.

What’s the best concert you ever attended?
Rascal Flatts

Where’s your favorite place in the world?
Myrtle Beach SC.  There’s nothing more relaxing than my toes in the water & butt in the sand listening to the waves.

Any Thank You’s?
My whole team at Centralized Support has covered me this past month or more while I was focused on some bigger jobs & I thank them for that, but James Peters deserves this more than me.  He had written every estimate for 3 offices this month & has kept our department from falling apart. Thanks James!!
